We have been so busy these past two days. We are learning so much already!
We are making new friends!
In today's Writer's Workshop we talked about how good writers are always adding more to their stories. Each student began a new book today about something they know about or care about. I reminded them that "when you think you're done, you've only just begun". We added more to our stories by adding details to our pictures, using letters to represent our words, and some even labeled their picture to help the reader understand the story better. I know these writers will be writing wonderful pieces in no time!
We also worked on some coloring and cutting practice today! I saw some of the most colorful school buses I have ever seen, and I love that!
And we have been reading plenty of good books!
And of course, some playing!
