Classroom Giving Project Update

Thank you to those of who responded to the survey. I am so glad that you are willing to help.

After thinking about it, I have decided to do a different type of project that what I had previously mentioned.

Before we left school on Friday, I told the kids that I found a flyer in my box looking for children to join the kind kids club. The kids were sure that they could do all the things the flyer mentioned!

We will fill out applications to join tomorrow morning. I will later reveal that our class has been asked to join the Kind Kids Club (wink wink).  We will come up with ideas that we can do something nice for those that help us. From now until we get out for Christmas, we will be given a "Random Act of Kindness Assignment". This will include making cards and sharing treats with our lunch monitors, our administrators, our CAMP teachers, our librarian, the custodians that keep our classroom clean, and others.

I feel that this type of project will allow the students to be very involved in making the days of the individuals that are relevant in their own lives.

I hope that some of you might be willing to help us collect small gifts to express our thanks to those in our school that help our class be successful each day. Baked goods, $5 Starbucks or Sonic gift cards, or other small gifts are what I am thinking. Or if you would like to make a cash donation that would be great. Please email or call if you have any questions or comments about anything. :)

Thanks again for your help in allowing our students to take part in this season of giving.
