Measurement

We began learning about length and measurement this past week. We have talked about the correct use of tall, taller, and tallest as well as short, shorter, and shortest. The kids have also practiced putting objects in order by length.

This week we began measurement with nonstandard units.

First we measured ourselves with big pumpkins. We estimated how tall we were then checked!

Then the students used smaller pumpkins to measure items around the room. They did great with this!

We have so many math lovers in our class and this activity really brought that out!
