Today, I introduced science in our classroom by asking them "What is a Scientist?". The kids helped compile a list of things like: sort measure, use their brains, write down their ideas, etc.
Then we read about a book called "What is Science?"
This helped us to see that science is all around us: rocks, space, water, plants, and more!
Last we read a short book about science tools. We talked about scales, eye droppers, magnifying glasses, magnets, funnels, and more.

We rotated through stations to explore the science tools that we had talked about.
We have some excited scientists in our class!
Tomorrow we will do our first "science experiment" that will help up better understand mixing colors!
